At Pokémon GO Fest 2026 Copenhagen (June 12–14), we walk through the 10 limited-raid Pokémon in priority order, from #10 to #1. Copenhagen's headline is the Fire-type legendaries themed after Team Valor (the Red Team), and — as with Tokyo and Chicago —
Primal Groudon,
Primal Kyogre,
Shadow Groudon,
Shadow Kyogre, and
Mewtwo also round out the lineup. At the end of the article, we also cover the
Mega Mewtwo X /
Mega Mewtwo Y Super Mega Raid (Unity Raid) that appears in the last 30 minutes of each Park session, along with shared counters.

These bosses appear at GO Fest Copenhagen from June 12 to 14. Let's start with #10 and work our way down to #1.
Raid Priority Ranking: #10 → #1
#10 Entei
Entei ended up at the bottom of this lineup, but every one of its stats is high, and in gyms and raids it puts its bulk to work piling up total damage.
To repeat: with so many strong and rare Pokémon in this event, it landed at this rank in relative terms.
#9 Moltres
Like
Entei,
Moltres is one of the top-tier Fire-type legendaries in DPS, and as a Flying-type it's also a very powerful attacker.
Recently, Moltres learned the Fly charge move via an Elite TM, boosting its output, and since Fly is now also available from a standard TM, the build cost has dropped too. Compared to Entei, Moltres has higher DPS and can be used in two type roles — that's an advantage — but within this lineup we placed it at #9 in relative terms.
#8 Paldean Tauros (Combat Breed)
Paldean Tauros (Combat Breed) is a Fighting-type Pokémon with a decent max CP. Its Fighting-type moveset gives it some potential in gyms and raids, but Close Combat is a bit awkward in those settings, so its combat usefulness comes out as just "okay."
On the battle league side, however, Close Combat and Grass Knot are both strong moves with useful added effects, so it can shine in the GO Battle League too. More importantly, this Pokémon is normally restricted to a Spain/Portugal regional, so this event may be the first chance for some trainers to see one. That gives it strong Pokédex-registration value, which is why it lands at #8 in our priority this time.
#7 Shadow Entei
Shadow Entei, like the regular
Entei we just covered, has high overall bulk, and with the Shadow attack boost layered on top, in total it ends up stronger than the regular Entei.
The key highlight is that it learns Fire Fang. This move is easy to use in raids, of course, but it's also a great move for quickly chewing through Team GO Rocket grunts, so Shadow Entei doubles as a useful piece for efficiently farming Shadow Pokémon for training.
#6 Shadow Moltres
Shadow Moltres ranks in the top 3 for damage among all Flying-type Pokémon in the game.
Here's why: when
Moltres learned Fly, calculations showed it could output damage on par with a regular-form Rayquaza using Dragon Ascent. Shadow Moltres holds top-tier Flying damage and also ranks around the top 5 for Fire damage, so it serves as a top attacker for both types. That's why Shadow Moltres lands at #6.
#5 Mewtwo
Mewtwo is the original form of
Mega Mewtwo X and
Mega Mewtwo Y, which headline this year's GO Fest. So why does the headline Mewtwo only land at #5?
Here's the issue: in this event's standard-raid lineup, catching a regular Mewtwo still costs 7,500 Mega Energy to Mega Evolve, which is a bit inefficient. That said, if you want to shiny-hunt Mewtwo with the event background, it's still worth running Mewtwo raids actively.
#4 Shadow Kyogre
Shadow Kyogre, when you exclude Mega-Evolved Pokémon, has the #1 Water-type damage. Shadow Pokémon can't be traded — you can only roll for IVs yourself in raids — so when one appears in an event, its priority naturally rises.
You might wonder, "If I have
Primal Kyogre, do I really need Shadow Kyogre?" — but the appeal is that you can run Shadow Kyogre on the same team as Primal Kyogre. For trainers who have already finished raising Primal Kyogre, that pushes Shadow Kyogre's priority even higher in relative terms.
#3 Shadow Groudon
Shadow Groudon, when you exclude Mega-Evolved Pokémon, also produces the #1 Ground-type damage.
Why does Groudon rank higher than Kyogre? Ground covers more weaknesses than Water — so there are relatively more raid battles where you can field it.
When a high-IV Shadow Pokémon lands, many trainers wonder whether to purify it. Personally, it's usually better to keep a Shadow as a Shadow, and even if purifying would push the IVs to 100, hold off for now. Shadow purification is irreversible, and there are other paths to a high-IV legendary (such as Lucky trades), so a good default training policy is to leave high-IV Shadows as Shadows.
#2 Primal Kyogre
Primal Kyogre has the #1 Water-type damage among all Pokémon.
On top of that, a special feature of Primal Reversion Pokémon is that you get candy bonuses and damage boosts across three types. For Primal Kyogre, that's Water, Bug, and Electric — the three types that align with rainy weather. The 3-type candy bonus is convenient, making Primal Kyogre a go-to pick for the everyday question "what should I Primal Revert today?" Not only is it the strongest raid attacker by raw damage, it's also extremely handy for collecting candy for training, which is why we ranked it #2 in this lineup.
#1 Primal Groudon
Primal Groudon has the #1 Ground-type damage among all Pokémon.
Like
Primal Kyogre, Primal Groudon grants a 3-type candy and damage bonus — Fire, Ground, and Grass — matching the types boosted by sunny weather.
Being the strongest Ground type is significant: Ground hits Electric, Fire, Rock, Steel, and Poison for super-effective damage, so Primal Groudon gets called into raids even more often than Primal Kyogre. It's also easy to use as a daily Mega Evolution driver, which is why we placed it at #1 in this lineup. If you already have Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre, then put your effort into raising
Shadow Kyogre and
Shadow Groudon instead.

Mega Mewtwo X/Y — Unity Raid Bonus
Finally, we'll cover the
Mega Mewtwo X and
Mega Mewtwo Y raid that appears in the last 30 minutes of each Park session.
This Unity Raid is a special battle for catching Mega Mewtwo X and Y, and unlike standard Super Mega Raids, Mega-Evolved Pokémon are not required. Up to 1,000 Trainers can join at once, but the battle seems to be presentation-focused — it doesn't actually need that many people to win. It is said that even around 10 trainers can defeat it, so the number of participants doesn't really decide the outcome.
There are unprecedented mechanics like raising your device up high, and the boss raises a shield once its HP drops below a certain point. Some details are still not fully understood, but you can enjoy participating as if it were a festival.
Shared Counters for Mega Mewtwo X & Y
Just in case the Copenhagen Unity Raid behaves differently and Mega Mewtwo actually fights back, here are shared counters that work against both
Mega Mewtwo X and
Mega Mewtwo Y. If you're looking for raw damage, these are the recommended picks by DPS.
If you want to factor in bulk as well — aiming for high total damage rather than raw DPS — the TDO-focused picks (Total Damage Output) work especially well as shared counters.
As for the actual party to build, this is the shared combination that works for both Mega Mewtwo X and Y. If you also want to be greedy about candy bonuses, Mega-Evolving a Psychic-type Pokémon like
Mega Metagross also lets you chase Mega Mewtwo X & Y XL Candy.
